Look for our monthly newsletter publication in your residence hall! The Rez Vibe is published with the help of the Residence Life Staff and our campus partners. Grab your copy to stay in touch with what is happening in Rez, upcoming events and important information on everything from the Housing Lottery to sending out resumes. Contributions from our residents are always welcomed!

How to Volunteer
We are seeking student volunteers to get involved with the RezVibe. So if you are interested in editing, arts/graphics, writing a column or covering events contact the Residence Life Manager today!

rez_lead

LEAD is a new initiative at UBCO designed to help create, support and promote student leadership opportunities within the residence system. LEAD strives to create ACTION within our communities through personal DISCOVERY and development.

Students who participate in LEAD will gain valuable experience in leadership that can be applied to your academic and career pursuits. LEAD participants also attend various training and skill development workshops. Excellent for any resume or graduate application!

Join LEAD by completing an application for any of the following positions and committees:

  • IMPACT committee - acts as an advisory council to the Residence Life Manager. Participates in focus groups and acts as a voice for residence students to help improve our Residence halls and program.
  • REZ PROGRAM COMMITTEE– works closely with the Residence Life Staff to develop and coordinate activities and events for the residence hall.
  • RESIDENCE STANDARDS COMMITTEE– works as an appeal board for residence standards decisions and cases.
  • RESIDENCE STANDARDS COMMITTEE CHAIR– helps to facilitate the appeals and cases heard by the standards committee. Ensure process and procedures are properly followed by appellants and board.
  • REZ ATHLETIC COUNCIL(RAC) – works closely with the Recreation Coordinator at the Recreation center and Residence staff advisor. Assists in the coordination, promotion and implementation of intramural leagues and residence athletic programming.

How To Apply

Get an application from your Residence Advisor, Housing Office or Residence Life Manager. Complete the application and return to Housing Office with your resume.

For some positions the Residence Life Manager will be conducting interviews. These interviews will typically be around 20 minutes and will occur in the middle of September.
