Residence Application Information 2012-2013

General Information:

  • If you have applied for admission to both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan, you will need to submit separate applications for residence to each campus.
  • Admission to UBC's academic programs and to residence are separate. You must apply for each individually. You do not have to be admitted to UBC before you apply for residence.
  • To be assigned to residence as an undergraduate, you must be registered in winter session for a minimum of 24 credits (12 credits per term). If you are a graduate student, the Faculty of Graduate Studies must confirm your full-time status.
  • For your best chance at receiving an assignment, make sure your application arrives at our office on or before February 1, 2012.
  • We accept online or faxed applications with credit card payments only. Please send one application only.

Online application - before you can apply for residence:
1) Apply for admission to UBC - you will establish a UBC reference number and PIN (personal identity number, initially set as your birthday yymmdd). You need these numbers to apply for residence.
2) Don't wait to be admitted to UBC - the demand to live in residence is high, and you don't have to be admitted in order to apply for residence. So apply right away.
