If you are a student who received a winter session residence assignment from Student Housing and Hospitality Services, Okanagan you can apply for Early Arrival Residence.  The Early Arrival application will be available soon.

2013-2014 Winter Session

New Student Move-In - September 1, 2013       
Returning Student Move-In - September 2, 2013
(Please make travel arrangements to coincide with your Move-In day)

The following will be considered for Early Arrival and are required to apply on-line:

• Early starting academic program

• Student exchange program

• Earliest Arrival Date:  August 28, 2013

• Cost $30.00 per night

If applying at the Housing Office please attach a copy of Program Registration to your application.

If approved, email notification will be sent after the application deadline.  Charges will be applied to your Student Housing account and must be paid prior to your arrival.  Early Arrival residence charges will apply whether or not the room is occupied.  If you provide proof of non-acceptance to UBCO your early arrival residence payment will be refunded.

Students participating/registered in the following orientation programs may arrive early based on their program requirements.  An Early Arrival application is not required.  Your arrival date must be confirmed with the program organizer to guarantee Early Arrival eligibility.  Additional fees may apply.

Jumpstart Program - Newly admitted International students
Earliest Arrival Date: August 24, 2013

Jumpstart Volunteers - Returning students assisting with the Jumpstart Program
Earliest Arrival Date: August 20, 2013

Kickstart - Newly admitted Domestic students
Earliest Arrival Date: August 27, 2013

Kickstart Volunteers - Returning students assisting with the Kickstart Program
Earliest Arrival Date: August 25, 2013

Varsity Athletes - Participating in early starting team tryouts
Earliest Arrival Date: August 7, 2013

UBCO Create Volunteer - Assisting with Residence Opening Day move in
Earliest Arrival Date: August 30, 2013

Please note the following terms and conditions:

Your Early Arrival Residence may be different than your Winter Session room. Students receiving Early Arrival Residence might need to move on short notice (less than 24 hours) into their Winter Session residence. Please do not request early arrival if you are not prepared to move on short notice or if you will be away from Kelowna for any time during your early arrival.
