This website is packed with self-isolation accommodation and food options, as well as resources and tips, all designed to ensure your experience is as positive as possible. Make yourself a plan that includes staying connected, eating healthfully, exercising regularly, following routines, getting plenty of rest, and reaching out for help if you need it.
Travel, testing and quarantine (self-isolation) regulations may change frequently as a result of the global response to COVID-19. Before making travel plans and prior to travelling, be sure to review UBC’s Travelling to Canada Guide.
It is critically important that you note the following:
Even if you anticipate qualifying for the fully vaccinated quarantine exemption, the Government of Canada still requires that you have a quarantine plan in case you don’t meet the requirements of a fully vaccinated traveller.
As per our COVID-19 Residence Rules, residents travelling to live in UBC Student Housing are not permitted to quarantine (or self-isolate) in a shared living environment. In other words, if you are moving into or returning to a shared suite, that cannot be your quarantine plan. If you are moving into a room (single, connected-single, shared) in Orchard Commons, Place Vanier or Totem Park, that cannot be your quarantine plan.
Travellers who are not fully vaccinated must continue to follow quarantine requirements.
